Automates and rationalizes the printing and exportation of documents created with Autodesk Inventor®.

It is possible, for example, to print out all the detail drawings of a design with just one click. Each drawing will be automatically sent either to the relevant printer in the format of the sheet or printed in reduced size.

When printing using the Manager, it is possible to add not only annotations to the drawing, but also information such as the date and time of printing or the user’s name.

The Print Manager also serves to export drawings in the following formats:

  • PDF
  • DWG
  • DXF
  • DWF
  • SAT
  • STEP
  • STEP simplified
  • IGES
  • STL
  • BMP
  • TIFF
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • GIF

By virtue of Inven-Tools - Print Server, it is possible to process printing tasks with a time-delay (e.g. during the night) or send them to a print server (which will process the task without interfering with the user’s work).

This fills in the properties of parts, sub-assemblies and drawings through a user-friendly interface capable of being called up from all the Inventor’s environments. An interesting feature serves to use the Properties Manager when in a 2D environment (IDW or DWG), which will automatically update the different i-properties of the 3D part or sub-assembly (IPT or IAM) and incorporate this in the title block on the drawing.

When saving an Inventor drawing, an relative DWF file is automatically generated. This really compact file format is really useful to send data by email.

When saving an Inventor drawing, a relative PDF file est automatically generated. This function does not require another PDF creation software.

It is always very difficult to know whether the printed drawing you have before you indeed corresponds to the latest version. For each printing task, the date of printing is automatically updated in the title block.

This serves to display the title, description, part number… in the place of the name of the occurrence, which is the information normally displayed in the tree structure of a sub-assembly.

When working in an assembly, this serves to copy an occurrence (part or sub-assembly) and replace the original part automatically with a copy. In addition, it is possible to simultaneously copy the drawing of the original part.

This serves to hide parts in a sub-assembly according to their weight, volume or area. It is also possible to hide components according to certain properties, for example parts whose description contains "Screw".

This function serves to copy the active drawing together with the part, sub-assembly or presentation represented on the drawing.

By simply clicking on this function, the center of mass of your part or assembly is calculated and displayed on the screen under the form of a work point, accessible from the Inventor objects browser.

With this function, it is possible to export the current file (part or assembly) with specified color theme and material to a defined path. The available images types are: BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF and PNG. The size of the exported image can also be customized.

This serves to create tables of coordinates that are not only limited to the selection of drilling, but also serve to designate any point whatsoever on the part. It is possible to create tables presenting tolerances or other information.

It is possible to create tables with an origin shift (eg 100;100), with tolerances or coordinates expressed in -X and -Y.

A special tool serves to directly dimension the thickness, height and depth of selected faces.

In collaboration with M. Michel Belot from the society Dévoïd Conseils in Colombier (Switzerland), we have achieved a tool to create toothed wheels, racks, cams and hearts 3D parts from output files of the Belot software.

Dials are maybe the most tedious components to draw in a 3D CAD system. Hurni Engineering has understood and provides a set of tools for Autodesk Inventor® users to quickly create different dial's components like :

  • Hourtracks
  • Arabic numerals and Roman numerals
  • Chronograph's counters
  • Tachometers

With this function you can export drawings in DXF format for VideoCAD.

With this function you can create assemblies components boards.
